Rainy day visiting the Guhua Garden(古华园)

This week we chose the Guhua Garden to visit. This was a last minute decision as we only searched through the internet in that morning. The destination took us about one hour to reach. The garden does not need any entrance fee.

The place was amazing, lots of pavilion surrounding the lake. It is really a good place for family and people who are dating. Lots of people rented the boat and rowed on the lake.

Ethan unwilling to walk away from the bridge as he kept on seeing people rowing the boat and this cheeky boy went to pick the leaves on the floor and threw it into the lake. He tried hard to see whether there was any fish inside the lake. This garden didn't have Koi fish but it has an unknown type of fish with the whole body grey in color.

Along the park, there was some exercising tools just like what we have at the Youth park in Penang.

Ethan threw tantrum during our visit to the opera building called Taiping Stage. When we wanted to take the family photo and suddenly he just wailed non-stop. Really difficult to lure him as he laid on the floor and cried. Really embarrassing for his parents. Nowadays Ethan quite a stubborn head as he is unwilling to say sorry unless he get what he wants. We didn't give in so he continued to wail for some time, he has really spoil his parent's mood. After he stopped crying, he was willing to say sorry to his parent. His whole head was sweating and his face was red after crying.

In front of this building he started to cry non stop

Later we visited the building of Memorial Grave of Three Ladies in which the emperor buried alive his 3 daughters. The building was quite scary having displayed the dolls inside each rooms. This was mostly because there was no light inside the room, we tried to switch on the lights but it would not function.

Ethan took the photo with the Expo icon

After visiting the south gate, we planned to go back to the gate which we have entered which was South-East gate. Besides that we also didn't explore the north site of the garden. Unfortunately when we were on our way back, there started to rain. We have to stay inside one of the pavilion to avoid the rain. We hoped that the rain will stop soon but luck was not on our side. We waited more than 30mins but the rain still not stopping. The rain was getting smaller but did not really stopped. We decided to stop our journey at the garden. Well, if not for Ethan throwing tantrum on the half way, we would have visited every part of this garden.

Happily inside the pavilion viewing outside the raining scenery

The right photo above was the south-east gate
