XiLin Temple(西林禅寺)

Next destination was this Xi Lin Temple. Since it was extremely hot, we didn't take the family photo in front of the entrance. Mummy asked daddy to take the photo surrounding the temple while mummy and Ethan rested under the place with shade. While waiting for daddy, Ethan and mummy took some photos nearby.

After daddy came back, we start to walk further inside where there was a long corridor with the shade. Luckily for us with this shade we do not need to become BBQ chicken under the hot sun. We tried to let Ethan stay under the place with shade. When we wanted to take photo then only quickly carried him out snapped and then put him back under the place with shade.

After exploring temple behind, we went for the side by side small temple. We walked up the staircases to reach the top. First we went to the Bell building. Luckily with the shade and also the wind, our son was back in active mood. He wondered what was inside the big bell. You can ring the bell 3 times provided you donate RMB10.

Next, we went to the other side which was the drum building. From here, you can take a good view of the pagoda. As usual, our boy explored the surrounding.

Ethan walked down the steep high stone staircase

Ethan have no chance to practice walking up and down inside our apartment but he still had chance when we are traveling. When he saw the staircase (requested us to carry him after walking so many hours), he will ask us to put him down and let him walk by himself. Sometimes we have to wait for him to finish walking up and down the staircase under the hot sun.
