Ethan visited Qiuxia Garden (秋霞圃)

Today we brought Ethan to Jiading in Shanghai. We planned to visit various places and took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

We started our journey before 9.00am in the morning and we arrived at the place at 9.45am. In fact we were supposed to visit "The China Imperial Examination System Museum" first but the signboard was so confusing and we missed it. So we ended up visiting the Qiuxia Garden first. Ethan was as usual free admission due to the privilege of being a toddler.

Near the entrance is a temple for the prayer. We took some photos outside and inside the temple.

Then we walked along the stone path to enter the garden. This Chinese garden occupied a very large area. Lot of things to discover inside. Mostly consist of ancient things like for one the old buildings, lion carving in the stone, antique tables and chairs and etc.

Even though there was lot of trees inside the compound, it was still very hot. This is all because it is summer time this time of year. Ethan sweat a lot. So do we.

Maybe due to the difficulty to find this place, there was not many tourists inside. Can see from the photo that there were no people inside the photo except us. Of course we took this photo with daddy's ever-ready tri-pot.

More information about this Qiuxia Garden can be found in our travel blog:
