One stop in Longhua Temple (龙华寺)

Today we went for another attraction nearby Shanghai i.e. Longhua City. When arrived there, the first destination we headed was the Longhua Temple. Adult ticket fee was RMB10 per person and Ethan as usual is free. We took some photos of the surrounding before entering the temple.

At first Ethan was throwing his tantrum, might be because it was due to the hot weather and sun shining down intensely. We had to let him wear the hat but he was still not ok with it. We thought that it was so bad that this little fellow spoil our mood as we had just wanted to start our journey. So mummy had to take care him while daddy went to take the photos of the surrounding. Luckily when we entered further, his mood suddenly turned from gloomy back to sunny mood.

Inside there, he was willing to be a photo model for his parents and stood still letting us take his photo. After having taken his photo, he immediately wanted to see the result. Upon satisfied with the photo, he will go back to become a model again.

Seeing him checking his photo with the photographer
Let me see, there is something lack there...
We were stuck in this temple for quite some time as Ethan was curiously looking at people praying and he looked inside the temple. While this temple was considered small compared with the surrounding other temple places. But maybe because this was the first look. Thus, taken quite a while.

Looking around...
There were few temples inside. Ethan was busy exploring the temple, he looked at people praying and he also imitated them. Really amazing was the things inside the temple, they are really beautiful and so antique. The crafting work of art is so amazing and it is really hard to find similar things in the temple in Malaysia.

Every temples has a high wooden block that separate between the main hall in outside. This is normally found in old Chinese houses. When we wanted to help Ethan by holding him to get across he just refused it. He wanted to do it himself by climbing and crossing the wooden beam.

Ethan really enjoyed the visit and so do his parents. For more information pertaining to LongHua Temple, do visit our travel blog:
