Another splash time for him

This round we were late because we went to view the new project's show house. The wind was strong so Ethan only get to play for a while.

Lunch at Gurney Drive

If let us choose, we would have never thought of having our lunch at Gurney Drive restaurant along the bay. We hate the horrible traffic and the lack of parking spaces. Today we went there because we had lunch together with grandpa's friend from Thailand. He was staying at the Evergreen Hotel so it was convenient to have lunch with him at the nearby restaurant.

During the lunch, Ethan and cousin Ting Ting were restless sitting on the highchair at restaurant while the adults were eating and chatting. In the end, we had to bring the two active kids to the pedestrian walkway by the waterfront . They can view a shipping liner docked at the Mainland side and some sea birds.

After lunch, we had another round of dessert at the hotel. Mother and Ethan had an ice cream. It took ages for the order reach us and for us to taste our ice cream and ice kacang. We didn't know why they were so slow like a snail as not many people were at the restaurant. Maybe this is the standard procedure of the hotel......???

Jusco at Prai

This was the first time we have visited the Jusco at Prai. We were amazed by the decorations of the Mall using recycled material. Surely we need to take photos with it.

The kids had fun at the kid's playground inside the Mall. The playground is big and the kids ran all around the place.

Already 4 years old

We just had a simple celebration for his birthday. We did not hold a party for him. We don't want him to feel that birthday is a big deal or big day for him. For the birthday cake, we just bought the ready made from the cake house. We did not buy present for him. As usual, he only get the FD we fixed for him every year for his education fund.

He enjoyed the moment of the birthday song and the blowing candles.

Colorful painting

Today the art work was freestyle painting. At first mummy still drew something for me to paint. Since I simply put on the color, mummy gave up after drawing one piece for me. The rest was given to me as blank papers. I did a few of it.

After each paint, mummy asked me to put my masterpiece on the floor and waited for them to dry up.

I get to wash all my painting stuffs after we finished.

Mummy was afraid that my art work will fly away if I simply put them on the floor. So she thought of a way to hang them like the clothes. It was my pleasure to clip my art work.

Runaway gingerbread man

Ethan never know or hear from us about "Gingerbread man". Firstly, mummy totally doesn't know how to bake the cookies. Secondly, mummy never read the gingerbread man story for him and thirdly, we have never seen the gingerbread man in the cake shop. How does he get to know it?

Well, mummy had borrowed a story book, the title is "What a surprise". The story book tells of a little girl who read a book regarding gingerbread man. When they gone out for shopping, her dad and mum bought the gingerbread man to surprise her. At first Ethan does not really understand what a gingerbread man is. Mummy told him that it is a cookie made in the shape of a man. Then coincidentally, he found the gingerbread man in other books too. The title of the book is "Mum's birthday surprise".

From that day onward, mummy told him that she wanted to let him do the art regarding the gingerbread man. Finally today we did it! Mummy did one sample for him.

Decorated and drawn the face of the gingerbread man
Hang it and wait to dry

Before dry, Ethan wrote a gingerbread man on the paper

Glued the dry gingerbread man on the paper

My photo book

This was the first craft that Ethan gotten to do during the school holiday. Mummy got the inspiration from the book titled "The photo book". Nowadays, mummy will try to do some of the craft or activities related to the book we read together.

Mummy chose the photo that have been printed out with bad quality by the photo shop. Don't want to waste it. Mummy cut it out and let Ethan glued it accordingly.

Paste the photo with the glue

Wrote down the name of the family

Decorated with the flower and the bee

Tada this is the masterpiece
Actually after he glued the photos, he still asked for other people like grandparents, Ting Ting cousin but mummy told him that we don't have their photo. Will take the photo and print out later then he only get to do again the photo book.

First experience - I can mail

We let Ethan to have his first experience of mailing snail mail. We get him to seal the envelope and put on the stamp. Of course, we did not teach him the old way by using the saliva. We gave him a small bottle water. He was happy to do it.

When we reached the library near the Sunshine, we let him mailed the letter at the post office.

Daddy "JUGGLE"

Today when we were watching TV in the hall, suddenly Ethan handed over the corn, tomato and lemon to daddy and asked daddy to "JUGGLE". Daddy was shocked when told by Ethan " Daddy, juggle". Daddy doesn't know how to do so he just threw all the fruits and vegetable up in the air. Ethan was very happy that daddy did this even though it was not really juggling. He constantly asked daddy to throw high in the air.

Simple throwing caused him laughing nonstop

His turn to throw all the things up the air
Daddy was also surprised where did Ethan get to learn the word 'juggle". Well, all thanks to the story book mummy has been reading to him. Recently he will on and off surprises us by using the new words. He slowly picked up the words from the books. That day, when he came back from the school, he told mummy that "I'm starving" when mummy asked him to eat lunch. He picked the word from the book and we never use this word before. We normally used the word hungry instead.
