Helper vs Mess-up person

Today Ethan still "gambate" in learning to talk. When he saw the Chinese flashcard "妈妈" he pronounce it as yesterday grandma already informed mummy. Today mummy saw it with her own eyes. Mummy today almost completed a few of Chinese story books but only lack photos to add in. Hope that it can be finished by this week so that daddy can print it out. Recently, Ethan has slowed down learning Chinese phase. Maybe it is because he doesn't know the meaning of the words

After dinner Ethan help daddy to dry the plate, spoon and fork. See! Ethan is such a good little helper.

Don't know why whenever Ethan wants to play the puzzle, he likes to take all of the puzzle and mess them together. It is very difficult to find the puzzle in this kind of mess. See what a mess he has done to the puzzle. But amazing thing was he can find the correct puzzles and put them together.

Impress of Ethan improvement

Ethan still keep on talking about the "duck" and "giraffe" but today he added addition words like when he has seen the "star" words or picture he will speak it. Besides that mummy also heard him said "车" few time when he drove his toy car.

Night time when he read the Words Dictionary, seeing the words" worm" he put his finger on the floor and imitate the worm crawling. Mummy was so impressed because he can really remembers that day when he has seen the worm in car porch. Mummy only told him that this is "worm" and didn't shown him the word. Beside this he also likes to play the matching game. For example when he has seen the lion, monkey and etc in the books, he will then take the book to match the words in the poster, other books or the words flashcard. Besides this he will do some actions for those words.

Today mummy taught Ethan how to catch the ball. Before that, mummy tried few times with different sizes of balls, like basketball, football and balloon but all were unsuccessful. As mummy read some articles saying that using the balloon is the best because the balloon flown is slower compared with other balls. However after seeing Ethan catching the balloon, mummy was really scared because it seems like the balloon want to blow away any time. Mummy was afraid that this will scare him if the balloon blows up.

Finally mummy bought the beach ball (ball suggested by the article besides balloon) few day ago for Ethan which is more safe and and light. First have to ask Ethan to sit down to practice catching the ball before standing up. Seems like he managed to catch the ball in sitting position for few times then mummy asked him to stand. He also managed to catch it standing up. Mummy is so impatience because after seeing that he can catch the ball quickly, mummy changed to basketball. Ethan failed to catch the basketball. Maybe the ball is too small and too fast when the ball is thrown to him.

Say "Duck!" & "Giraffe!"

Today, Grandpa took us to Bedung for lunch. We had pig stump for one of the dish. On the way there, Ethan was so tired that he slept in the car and also slept throughout the lunch. Poor Grandma had to cuddle him at the same time eat.

After lunch, Ethan woke up when we reached Grandpa's house. Most probably because he has slept enough, he has the mood to play the pronunciation game. Ethan was able to say the word "Duck" clearly. Also he could say "Giraffe", although not that clear but you get the meaning.

In another 13 days, Ethan will be 2 years old. Somehow don't know why but he manage to say word "Duck" even before saying "Papa" or "Mama". Weird son we have.

Youth park again and got new books

Today, mummy plans to buy some Chinese books for Ethan. Mummy has some idea of buying him "我会读". However after seeing that one box only consists of 12 books and the other is flashcard, mummy thought that it was really not worth to buy. It costs MY220 for one box. It actually got 4 boxes. Wah ! Really expensive if we want to buy the whole set, nearly MYR1k. So mummy has to find other cheaper books for him. Daddy is kept busy taking care of Ethan while mummy finds the books. Seems like Ethan likes to run here and there, daddy has to keep on chasing him. Daddy took one book and tested Ethan on some words of fruits. Daddy told mummy that Ethan knows all the words inside. Mummy didn't believe it, so daddy asked Ethan to prove that he actually knows it. Daddy asked "avocado" and mummy was so surprised that Ethan pointed correctly. Mummy never teach this word before to Ethan. So our conclusion was that either he picked among the words that he doesn't know or he learned some natural phonic. At last mummy managed to pick 4 Chinese books for Ethan. We have gone to Toy's'rus but could not find a good toy for Ethan.

Since the weather is good and also we were on the way back, mummy asked daddy to drop by the Youth park again. Mummy wanted to let Ethan play and also showed daddy that the park has a swimming pool. A lot of people there even when it was nearly noon. We managed to take some photos there but not many as there the battery ran low. Hi hi


We are pleased to know that Ethan was not afraid of the see-saw anymore. Previously for the first time when he played in the park near to our house, he really yelled when we put him on. Seems like this time he really enjoyed it.


His favorite playground is still the slide. He slided few times. We put him on the swing. This time, he has got some improvement compared to the last time. Later we took Ethan to see the swimming pool. There were a lot of kids there playing in the water. Seems like today we were unprepared, so Ethan only get to see and not get to play in the water.

On our way back to the car park we saw a small replica of the Penang Hill Tram Car. Daddy took a photo together with Ethan.

Funny things

So funny things happen is recently when Ethan passed his bowel movement then he saw mummy taking his potty go to toilet , he will quickly open the toilet bowl and let mummy throw away his stool then after mummy finished throwing it then he quickly close the toilet bowl and flash it.

Even recently when he was bathing, he likes to throw all his stuffs into the bathtub and then pour water from one bucket to another. When mummy poured his water out from bucket, he will cry but if he do it himself then it is ok for him. He thinks this game is fun for him as mummy also didn't restrict him to play. Mummy read some articles saying that let the kid play the big or small bucket and let him pour from one to another is to training his hand-eye coordination plus let the kid knows the quantity. So after bathing he will stay in bathtub quite some time naked. Now still headache how to let him play the sand as first he afraid of beach then second still cannot find a beautiful beach for him to play.

Happy Deepavali

Today is a holiday.
We brought Ethan to Tesco to buy some cabinets for him as Ethan stuffs becoming more and more specially mummy keep on increasing the books and toys for him.

Evening time Ethan tried to help daddy to combine the cabinet as we bought the DIY cabinet. See Ethan busy helping daddy.

Things happen today

This morning brought Ethan to supermarket in order to buy kiwi fruit for him. Mummy found out that if we let Ethan eat kiwi fruit and yogurt then Ethan will not have constipation. Therefore we have to keep on letting him eat these two type foods. Mummy brought Ethan to walk around while waiting for daddy to pay the bill. Ethan saw the helicopter that mummy let him sit in few weeks ago (refer to blog Oct 16). Ethan yelled at a big sister when he saw the big sister sit inside the helicopter. He scared the big sister as she quickly got down from that helicopter. Since he was yelling at people so mummy didn't let him sit inside the helicopter. Seems like Ethan's memory is quite good as mummy only let him sit inside the helicopter for few minute while waiting daddy the other time.

Besides this thing, there is also another funny thing is when we eat our lunch at the food court. We were sitting on one of the table in front of TV while waiting for daddy to order food. Suddenly, mummy heard Ethan laughed. Mummy wondered why?? Then mummy only realized that Ethan was watching the "Tom and Jerry" cartoon. He laughed when seeing Tom's funny actions. After that he showed mummy that there is no more as there was the advertisement break.

See the robot that Daddy made from the mega block for Ethan. Daddy was trying to make the "Transformers" for Ethan as daddy recently wanted to see this movie. Managed to take some picture of Ethan with the robot.

Night time after mummy bathed Ethan, he quickly took the "Words Dictionary" and flipped the book. When he flipped to the page that has a picture of a gloves, he quickly went and take the gloves inside the cabinet. He asked mummy to wear them for him. We managed to take some photos of him wearing the gloves. Mummy asked daddy to buy some gloves and winter hat for Ethan when daddy goes for a business trip to US this coming Dec. Now he is wearing mummy 's one so we plan to buy the kid one for him.

When flipped to page of animals then he will go and take the plastic animals and arrange them.
