Potty Training ???

Few months before mummy had tried to give Ethan potty training but the result was failure. It is partly because Ethan didn't show the sign that he wants to have potty training and mummy also lack patience to train him. Recently seems like Ethan shows some sign of him wanted to pee. When he wants to pee he will show this action.

Yesterday morning mummy nearly success as he shown he wanted to pee. However, it was too late. One time when he was playing with his crayon, he forgotten to inform and pee on the floor a bit. Then he realized he wanted to do so mummy quickly brought him to the toilet. After he woke up from the nap he didn't show this action so he used quite a lot of diaper in the evening.

This morning seems like he also forgotten to show but mummy have carefully monitored him so mummy was successful on morning session.

Today, Ethan had additional two homemade Chinese story books.

First time say Papa clearly

Today for the first time Ethan could say the word "Papa" clearly. Daddy is extremely thrilled and happy! Daddy immediately (wasting no time) grabbed his camera and shot this video.

Indeed it was a happy moment... Daddy had waited quite some time for this day to come.

Park again

Today after eating the "Dim Sum" we brought Ethan to the park again. Mummy told daddy that Ethan cried last trip to the park for he didn't want to leave the park. Today the weather is exceptionally fine and the air was fresh. Unlike yesterday the sun was too bright and Ethan's eye could not stand too strong sunlight.

When we arrived at the playground, Ethan quickly walked to his favorite slide. Daddy had to accompany Ethan and mummy has taken some photo. Ethan was having a fun time. Later we saw a lot of families brought their kids to the playground. When we felt that it was crowded, we decided to bring Ethan back home. Whenever we wanted to bring Ethan to the car park he will corner his direction to the fountain. Seeing that the weather was good, we let him walked around. When we decided to go back, Ethan once again refused and cried so loud. Ethan was very tired after we visited the playground as he woke up early this morning.

Recently mummy lack of teaching Ethan to read and just let him using the crayon to scribble on a piece of paper. But it seems like he was drawing beyond the paper. He likes to use crayon and do scribbling on the floor, cabinet and even the clothing. Don't know how to discipline him as we have told him so many times that the crayon is use to draw on paper not everywhere else.

Daddy was back from business trip

Today daddy was back from business trip. Finally Ethan gets to eat his favorite "Cheerios" . This time daddy bought two boxes together with the free books inside the box. Those 2 boxes of extra big Cheerios had filled almost half of daddy's luggage. Since daddy also bought other stuffs for father-in-law and sister-in-law, it ended up that daddy had to carry 1 box of Cheerios in his backpack instead of putting into the big luggage. Luckily Cheerios is not heavily, it is just taken up in volume and not weight! Daddy's friend, Chong who promoted Cheerios to him also asked one of daddy's manager, SM to carry back 2 big boxes for his daughter.

Mummy glanced through the books but they are not suitable for Ethan yet as the words were so small. Only the words "YOU" is big. It was few weeks back that Ethan didn't eat this cereal because we ran out of supply. He missed it so much. So yesterday dinner time mummy had easy way to feed Ethan because he was putting his favorite cereal into his porridge. Recently Ethan refused to finish his food. He only want to eat yogurt. So in order to let him eat his food we have to encourage him like stacking the yogurt bottle, playing his garden sets etc. Now having this cereal is more easy as he is willing to sit inside his high chair.

Recently mummy felt like Ethan was quite bored with his toys. He played for a while then he refuses to play with it again and want to walk out of his playroom. Mummy is having headache on what are the toys that are suitable for Ethan's age. Need to think harder.

Swimming

This morning Ethan woke up quite early so we brought him to the garden so that both mummy and grandma can do some gardening work. First it was ok for Ethan but later he felt bored because mummy and grandma kept on busy doing the garden work. He wanted to go inside the house and did some swimming action on the floor. Mummy saw the action so got the idea of letting Ethan played with water.

Does Ethan love math?

Today we went back to Penang from Grandpa house in Kedah. Tonight daddy will have a business trip to US. Seems like this trip he has got a lots of things to buy. Daddy got a whole long list of items from Grandpa, mummy and auntie.

Recently you can hear that Ethan kept on saying 'one' 'two'. He likes to count things that he has seen. Like this morning grandma informed mummy that Ethan was counting the number painted on the road side for the stall lots. Even when he seen the encyclopedias in the book shelve got vol 1 to 20, he also wanted to count it. The number for the wall calender he also didn't skip the opportunity of reading the number. If the box, cloth, bed sheet and etc having printed number he likes to read it or counting the square and flower in the bed sheet. Even Ethan he doesn't really know how to read all the number but he tries his best to count the things. When we were going home, Ethan sat inside the car counting the car passing by. So mummy plans to teach Ethan plus and minus when Ethan manages to read out all the number from 1 to 10

Besides counting, Ethan also like to imitate the action of the picture show in his words dictionary like angry, yawn, yelling etc. It is so funny when he does that actions. If there is a chance then mummy will try to capture the funny actions and post them in this blog.

Independent?

Mummy felt that recently Ethan wanted to do the things by himself. Few cases indicate that he wants to be independent: -

1. Like walked up and down the staircase, he wants to walk by himself and doesn't want people to hold or bring him. If you hold him he will move his body in order to go down to the floor and walked up and down himself.

2. If he finishes drinking the milk or water he wants to take close the cap and takes the bottle and put it back to the original place by himself.

3. The plastic bag that hold the cake, after Ethan finished eating the cake when grandma wanted to throw it, Ethan refused to let grandma take it and he wants to bring the plastic bag to the kitchen and asks grandma to hold him up and throw the plastic bag himself.

4. When we saw him having a difficulty to find the correct puzzle, we tried to help him put the correct puzzle in, he will refuse, take it out and put aside then later he tried himself.

A lot of things he also wanted to take a part when we were doing the our work, like watering the plant and sweeping the floor etc
