Ethan class and personal photo

When mummy went to pick up Ethan and seen the all the parents' hand were holding the photo. It was the school photo taken in Oct. The school has passed the parent two of the photo, one is the class photo and the other is the personal photo. If the parent wanted the photo, cost Rmb290 for both photo. Need to return the photo if you don't want to have it. In here, everything need money.

We definitely want the photo as it would be one of memory for Ethan as we don't know whether daddy assignment will be extended or not. Even though that day Ethan was heavily sick but at least he looked at the camera. Some of kids were not looking at the camera. Some parents complained regarding the photo of the the kid especially the class photo. It was very difficult to ask all the kids to look at the camera at the same time, right?

It was quite some time Ethan didn't play in the school playground. Before that he will play in it before entering the class and after he leaves the class. Ethan didn't play in it all due to the past few week, it was raining and also the morning water dew had made the playground wet.

Today since we had to wait for daddy so mummy let Ethan played while waiting. Knowing from now onwards, Ethan will play in it again. Mummy had brought herself trouble again...

Lots of activities in the school during the Christmas

The school has lot of activities in the school before the Christmas.

At the 1st day of the Dec, the class designated the "Gift Tree" time, parent are welcomed to donate the caring gift like the scarves, gloves, mitten etc to those children going home after the heart surgeries and those rural and poor village. Today, mummy went to Carrefour to buy 3 scarves and planned to bring Ethan to the school during that day. Monday is not a school day for Ethan.

Beside this the school also has the Christmas cookies on sale, parent to bake the cookies and families would like to sing during the Christmas festival.

By the way, there is also the Class Christmas party on Dec 12, every kid need to bring the gift wrapped books to exchange the gifts and also bring the food. Mummy just ordered the books from the online book shop. Mummy chose the bilingual books to exchange. Not dare to choose those books with only Chinese language as most of the kids in the class are foreigner.

Besides this, parent are also welcomed to the class to introduce the Christmas culture of your own country. How daddy celebrate Christmas in Malaysia? Just go to the church do the mass and that's all. So no culture to introduce.

Well, one item which both Ethan's parent don't understand is the "We are also looking for someone to dress up as Father/Mother Christmas", daddy said he never heard of this and only heard of Santa Clause. No Mama Clause.

In here, seems like lot of activities that parent need to participate.

Autumn to be end in here....

We have a beautiful community. The landlord had maintained well the environment in the community. It is so nice to see the changing season and the garden scenery. Last time when we were in USA, didn't have to any chance to watch the green leave turning into the yellow, red and orange color. The place we lived in US when came to the fall, all the leaves just fallen down from the tree then immediately just left the trunk. In here we can see the changes.

According to the weather forecast, the temperature will be lower than 10 degree on the next day. Shanghai seems like entering winter time. Shanghai always has a short autumn and long winter.

Well, mummy had already well prepared Ethan's winter clothes. Not going to invest more as daddy only has one year assignment in Shanghai...

Songs' Book from the school...

Today mummy brought back Ethan songs' book from the school. This was one of the creative activity in the school. Inside got 3 songs i.e. Twinkle, twinkle little star, Old MacDonald and ABC song. The favorite song for Ethan is "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".

Ethan PP pant

Today arrived another batch of PP pants for Ethan. Now all together Ethan had 9 PP pants. Then PP pants will be worn as the underwear during the winter time but mummy already started to let Ethan wear it as pajamas. PP pants is very cute and in different designs. When we let Ethan wear it, our comment was like the man wearing the ballet pant, cowboy underwear pants and also the Old English Shakespearean tights.

Ethan was slim and when he wears it, his legs look even slimmer. Mummy said Ethan's leg are like the "bird leg' (Chiao Kar in Hokkien).

Borrow some books from library..

Today mummy went to the YCIS library to borrow books for Ethan. Mummy wanted to do it long time ago but was just lazy to take any actions. When mummy went to the administration office and wanted to pay Ethan's next semester school fee, she asking them about the procedure for books borrowing. Well, the staff here asked mummy to go to the library and ask the librarian. Well, seems like the staff here don't really understand how the other department functions. Why say like that? Few weeks ago, mummy asked the teacher how to borrow the books and what the parent needs to do. The teacher asked mummy to ask the administrator in office then today when mummy asked them, they said go to ask librarian.

Actually it was very simple, you just need to hand over the kids school card that parent need to hang on our neck when we enter the school. The librarian will fill the form and you can just borrow the books. One time can borrow two books for two weeks. The library closes on Tuesday and Friday, guessed need to reserve the library for the kids in the school. The library is opened for parent at 8.30am to 9.30am, then will be closed and reopened after the afternoon school time at 3.00pm.

Mummy managed to borrow two books for Ethan. They are "I can ride a bike" and "School Tools".
