Playing bubble

Today mummy blew the bubble for Ethan to chase. Ethan had a fun time chasing the bubble but only play for a while he has already hot. Ethan whole head was sweating. Mummy pitied him. Therefore had to cut short the time and quickly brought him back into the house. Later Ethan got a slight temperature. Mummy doesn't know whether is it from playing in the hot sun or not? Later when he fell asleep the temperature back to normal. Guessed it is caused by the weather.

Taken some photos but not with bubble as mummy need to blow the bubble so did not have any free hands to take photo. However mummy had taken some photo of Ethan playing in the garden.

Mummy made some coloring books and hope that tomorrow can let Ethan draw and color the picture. For the time being, Ethan likes to draw on the "draw&erase" template that we bought.

Kinder garden visit and Gaint supermarket

Today mummy brought Ethan together with Phui See yi yi to go to the kindergarten. We wanted to inquiry some syllabus whether it is suitable for Ethan to study. We managed to go to 2 kindi but two of them kindi person in charged were not around so we could not get much information. Actually the purpose of mummy want to sent Ethan to kindi is for him to make friends and hoped that he mixed around would then boost up Ethan's talking skills. Glanced through the kindi seem like kids' of Ethan age mostly for singing and playing. Some of the things are what mummy has been teaching Ethan in the house like flashcard, eye and hand coordination training etc. Mummy is still considering whether is it wise and got any benefit to send Ethan to kindi? After discussing with daddy, mummy will postpone until when Ethan is of age 2 or 3 and see that time how is his progress. Eventually mummy thinking is only to let Ethan go to kindi when he is of age 4. This is mainly because mummy is afraid Ethan will fall sick when mix around. As the toddler below age 3 their immune system is still very weak. Like kor kor that day got mouth and hand disease was because of his big brother go to kindi and spread to him.

At night, we brought Ethan to Gaint supermarket because we needed to buy kiwi fruit and yogurt for Ethan. Ethan loves these food very much. Ethan played with some lantern with daddy . Mummy bought some paper lantern for house decoration. Plan to buy the plastic for Ethan. We have seen one "ranger" kind of lantern but when switched on the power the fan will be moving which is very dangerous for kid to touch. The fan is exposed outside and there seems to be not safe for kids. Daddy and mummy had taken some photos of Ethan playing the lantern.

Playing word picking game

Ethan played with mummy and grandma the word picking game. He played for so many rounds. Mummy captured all on video. Since the files are quite large, only one file is attached below for reference.

Playing with a friend

Finally today Ethan managed to meet Mummy friend's son. Mummy attempted a few times to let Ethan play with the kor kor but everytime, the kor kor is sleeping. So finally today both the kids met and played together.

Ethan didn't have any stranger anxiety. He was very excited when he saw the kid of his same age in the house. He just kept yelling and running around. The Kor kor's grandma and mummy provided biscuit for the kids to eat , they loved it. Ethan was not "kedekut" and he kept on feeding the kor kor . Everybody was laughing when we saw this. The kor kor ran here and there with Ethan trying to chase him. Later they played some toys but Ethan really cannot play with these as he always throw the toy. He was really a bad bad boy. No wonder kor kor didn't want to let Ethan play his toy gun. Ethan just threw everything when he got the toy in his hand. The toys in kor kor house are quite different from what mummy bought for Ethan. In our house mummy let Ethan play the blocks, puzzle and ball. In kor kor house they have toy car and gun. Took some photos of Ethan with the kor kor. Seem like kor kor is very big compare to skinny Ethan.

Basket ball at Grandpa's place

Yesterday, daddy brought mummy and Ethan back to Grandpa's house for the weekend.

Since Ethan's hair had grown quite long, we took him to the usual barber for a hair cut. This round of hair cut, Ethan did not cry. He is a good boy. However, he still did not want to sit still when the barber cut his hair. Daddy had to trick him to make him look up and look down.

Mummy bought a basketball net for Ethan at Aneka supermarket. We tied the basketball net to the front door steel grill and shown Ethan how to throw the ball into the net. Ethan really likes to play with basket ball and also he would make the gesture like a NBA pro trying to net a ball.

What Ethan can or cannot do

It is time let him be independent since he is already 21 months. Some of the things are too late to let him do by himself. So starting today, mummy let him try out the things by himself.

Let's update some of the items that Ethan can do and cannot: -
a) Self feeding
Eat - still very messy as sometimes he wants to play with his food
Drink - use the cup to drink but the water will be spilled out

b) Wearing the shoes and socks
Sandals - can wear and take off by himself
Shoes - can take off but don't know how to wear
Socks - can be take off half way but stuck at the ankle. Still don't know how to wear

c) Pants - sometime can successful take off the pants but not to put on
Cloth - if it is round-necked then cannot take off and wear by himself. If it is button clothes, mummy need to unbutton then only he can take off by himself
Diaper - can tear by himself

d) Potty training - can pass the bowel movement in the potty but for the pee still work in progress as he still don't know how to control his bladder

e) Sometime manage to help mummy to put all the toys back into the container, after finish helping he will clap his hands

f) Scribbling in the paper

h) He knows how to put the puzzle since he was 16 months. Still cannot play the jigsaw puzzle

i) Cannot ride a tricycle, only use the feet to move the bike

**Mostly important things is he still cannot speak, he still bubbling - baby talk.

Yogurt facial

Today Mummy let Ethan ate the yogurt by himself once more time. He was still very messy, with the yogurt surrounding his mouth. After finished his food, he played with the food using both hands to put all the yogurt on his face even on his hair. Unfortunately mummy didn't take any photos. This is because mummy was busy cleaning up his whole face , hair and also the hands.

Opening a can of biscuit

Recently Ethan like to stacking the blocks but some of its got weired shape. When we first bought him the blocks when he was 18-months old, he only like to throw the blocks here and there and have no intention to stack them.

This afternoon when mummy was chatting on Skype, Ethan suddenly shutdown the PC. When he listened to the windows sound then his hand show "no". He waited until the screen becomes all black then he closed the monitor of the PC. After doing this he clapped his hand. Seems like he was indicating that he has done a good job.

Today potty training failed one time in morning session but failed two times in the afternoon session. Ethan really pee a lot as he can pee within 10 min time apart. Really difficult to time him.
