Today mummy attached the reward chart on the wall. The purpose of the reward chart is to encourage Ethan to finish bathing fast. Every time when comes to bath time, we are like a having battle with Ethan. Ethan is very slow motion. We even need half an hour to finish his bathing. The sequences are from asking him to take off his shirt and pants until his wears the shirt and pants.
Every time we asked him to take off his shirt, he just ignored us and do his own things. Or even he mouth says "yes" but no action at all. Why we didn't take off his shirt instead of waiting for him to do so? Well, last time it worked when he didn't know how to take off his shirt. But now he knows how to do so, he wouldn't let us do it for him. He will protest. We have tried the hard way before and ended up with Ethan crying non stop and threw tantrum. In the end parents suffered.
Mummy was hoping that starting the reward chart with the bath time, if it can be successful. Only then we can do the same in other like coloring or other activities. How our reward work is that when he finished the bath time quick and being nice then he deserves a sticker to stick on the reward chart. We tried it for a few days but seems like it didn't really work. He is still slow motion like before. Still have to lure. Have to think harder for other ways...
